The Story
Sutter Home White Zinfandel’s pale pink blush and touch of sweetness is a long way from Zinfandel’s dark color and spicy, peppery flavors. To create the White Zinfandel, Zinfandel grapes are immediately pressed after harvest to collect the rich, concentrated free-run juice. Winemakers then cold-ferment the juice at 60°F for ten days in stainless steel tanks, to enhance the wine’s fresh aromas, fruity flavors and crisp acidity.
