La Braccesca Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Antinori

 

This is a sublime and classic Vino Nobile from Antinori: pleasantly dry and quite firm, with notes of red plums, cherries, blackberry, damson and sweet tobacco creating a lingering, more-ish finish. This wine is sourced from two parcels, one of which is in the very heart of the region. Sangiovese and 10% Merlot. Aged for 10 months each in old oak and bottle, for a wonderfully savoury, smooth character.

 

Wonderful with slow-cooked hearty meat dishes.
