The Story
Medium-bodied and forward, the wine is charming, easy to like and drink, with soft textured, ripe, dark red fruits, complicated by a hint of tobacco and earth
 2014: Silver, IWC/ Bronze DWWA/ 91 points Wine Enthusiast
PRESS REVIEW:
On the Grape Vine - Matthew Nugent The Irish Sun - Irish Sun Star rating: ****
I return today to an affordable Bordeaux blend last reviewed here (the 2013 vintage) eleven years ago – and it still tastes just as good.
From one of the prestige estates in the Haut-Medoc, this is a full-bodied wine, with a deep ruby colour and a nose dominated by aromas of ripe strawberry fruit and redcurrants.Â
A year in new and old oak casks has helped to develop toasted oak and vanilla notes on the well-balanced palate, on top of plenty of black fruit flavours.
Enjoy with:Â Slow-roasted sirloin joint.
